I use this microphone along with a Pocket Talker and a Neck Loop. Not perfect but works in noise like nothing else.

I used the mike with a pockettalker and a neckloop in two different situations (at home and at a church meeting). I have a very old directional unit that was able to reject undesired pickup much better than this mike. But it produces good quality sound and is easy to use. Strange that it is sold as a directional mike, since it is so omnidirectional.

I have a cochlear implant, and have the usual problems when in a crowd, with background noise. The Pockettalker together with the "Shotgun" directional microphone helps. It works either with the neck loop, or plugged in directly to my processor. The directionality is perhaps not as directionally focussed as I had hoped, but does seem to help in these settings.
